What Mosaic believes
Mosaic's belief about generative AI is that it is a tool. AI is not inherently evil. But when it comes to images, or anything considered art, generative AI is inherently awful. An AI cannot imagine or create; it can only do what a person has trained it to do, and often that training is built on datasets scraped from internet users without their consent.
Mosaic wants to help human artists: to let their skills be used by people who genuinely want to support what it means to be an artist.
How Mosaic uses AI
Mosaic uses AI, during development and in live services, only to automate a coding workflow. AI is never used to do something its operator does not understand.
No asset is ever AI-generated. Every icon, brand mark, and UI design choice was, and always will be, made by a human. All user-facing text is written by a human.
Where your money goes
The buyer pays a flat service fee ($2.99 up to $45, $4.99 above). The artist keeps 100% of the first $60 and pays 5% only on the portion above it. Mosaic absorbs Stripe's processing fee and covers the server cost of each sale. What's left is our profit. Move the slider to see it at any price.

Effective take: 7.7% of price gross · 3.9% net after Stripe and server cost. Mosaic absorbs Stripe's fee, so the artist never sees a processing deduction.

My name is Bryce, but I go by M or Misfit. I'm a software engineer and a student. I have many friends who are artists, and I hope they'll use this platform. I want to help push their skills forward, because they are so very talented.
